Beyond CMS’s pricing for digital marketing services is straightforward. We charge a fixed monthly fee based on which service you’d like us to help with. For local businesses, SEO will play an important role in our digital marketing campaign. A topic is a service that you provide such as “plumbers”, “electricians”, or “car repair”. Typically a local business provides 1 or 2 services which is 1 or 2 topics. Within each topic, you can have unlimited keywords and up to 50 locations that you want to target (eg “plumbers in Liverpool). Other optional fees are as per the pricing table below. For example, Google Ads are faster to see results. Your Google ads will go live on the same day after it’s been set up. However, it will then take 7-10 days for the learning phase to complete. Google ad results can fluctuate during the learning phase.

Google Ads is Google’s cash cow (more than 80% of Google’s revenue comes from its ads). It is fast to set up and launch your Google ads. You literally can start getting customers on the same day. Google ads can be quite expensive, even though it is more cost-effective, and more effective than traditional offline ads such as billboards, or printed ads.

Whereas SEO, according to Google, takes four months to a year to see results. We have found this to be true for most websites.

These websites typically have already had a headstart (eg the website has existing good quality and reputation to build from, and the business is an established business with SEO done in the past). Still, the results may fluctuate at the beginning then settle down after 2+ months.

SEO is perfect for long-term investment for local businesses. It takes a large amount of time and effort upfront to start your SEO campaign, and it takes longer to see results. However, a well-executed SEO campaign will produce tremendous returns for your business for years to come, at a much lower cost compared to paid ads such as Google Ads or Facebook Ads.

Results can be seen within a few days and then improved after your Google ad’s learning phase has passed (typically 7 to 10 days). However, Google ads are more expensive than SEO.

On the other hand, SEO is a long-term investment, not a quick fix. SEO will take 4 months to a year to start seeing results. The results are not that you will rank number 1 in searches. Your website may rank at the bottom on the first page, or on the second page of Google searches for local businesses, but not always in the top 3. SEO results will improve over time with ongoing optimization.

To rank well in searches, you will need great content, lots of it.

Producing high-quality content takes time. If you write 100 pieces of content within a week, you can bet that the content is mediocre.
